Programming

4.5.1 Introduction
Prior to the start of a conference, the individual and
interpretation system parameters of the interpreter desk
can be set manually using the installation mode of the
desk.
4.5.2 Overview
The installation mode of the desk consists of a number
of menus in which options have to be chosen. Some
menus are applicable only to the desk that is being
programmed, whereas other menus apply to all
interpreter desks in the system.

Note
In PC based systems only menus a, b, c, m, n, o
and p have to be programmed manually on each
desk. All other menus can be programmed from
the PC.

PC based systems using the LBB4172/00
Simultaneous Interpretation Software Module
have extended control and preset facilities as
compared to a stand-alone interpretation
system.

scope of this manual. Refer for detailed
information about this software to its own
manual.
4.5.3
The installation mode of the interpreter desk can be
entered by simultaneously pressing the b preselect
channel key and the B output selection key. Before
attempting to program the desk, ensure that the system
has been initialized (see chapter 30).
