10.3.5 Connecting the control inputs
The analogue audio expander has 8 control inputs to
enable and disable the audio inputs and the audio
outputs of the audio expander analogue. By default, all
audio inputs and audio outputs are enabled. An audio
input or output can be disabled by closing its control
input (see table 10.4, table 10.5 and figure 10.5).

10.3.6 Connecting the control outputs
The analogue audio expander has 5 control outputs.
Four control outputs are used to indicate if the channels
that are available on the audio inputs are already in use
by another unit (i.e. channel engaged). When the
channel available on an audio input is engaged, the
control output belonging to the audio input is closed
(see table 10.6, table 10.7 and figure 10.6).

The fifth control output is used to indicate if the optical
network is available (NO-C connected) or not
