Mail Server Settings

The Mail Server Settings page lets you configure outgoing email service using the simple mail
transfer protocol (SMTP). It is a standard for sending emails on behalf of the system such as
validation emails for password reset. Setting an SMTP server is also necessary for email
notification of events to work. Navigate to Settings > Mail Server Settings.
Set an SMTP server and a sender's email account for password reset:
SMTP Host
Port
From Email Address
If Static IP Address is selected, enter the gateway IP
address. This is the address of a router interface
connected to the Hub that forwards packets out to
another subnet or network.
Enter the IP address of a DNS server.
Enter the IP address of a DNS server as a backup if the
primary DNS server fails.
Enter the SMTP server's IP address or domain name.
Enter the SMTP server's port number. Default port is 25 for
unencrypted connections. Encrypted connections commonly
use port 465 or 587.
Enter the email address that you want to appear as the
sender of an email.
