Removal and installation of air conditioner condenser assembly

Place the machine on a level ground and
lower the work equipment to the ground in a
stable posture.
Stop the engine, turn the battery disconnect
switch to OFF position, and remove the key.
(For details, see "Testing and adjusting",
"Handling battery disconnect switch".)
Set the lock lever in LOCK position.
Removal
(PC88MR-K580-520-K-00-A)
1. Collect the refrigerant (air conditioner gas:
R134a) from the air conditioner circuit. [*1]
a Refill amount: 730 ± 50 g
If refrigerant gas (air conditioner gas:
R134a) gets in your eyes, you may lose
your sight. And if it touches your skin,
you may suffer from frostbite. Put on
protective eyeglasses, gloves and
working clothes with long sleeves while
collecting the refrigerant or filling the air
conditioner circuit with the refrigerant.
a Never release the refrigerant (air conditioner
gas: R134a) to the atmosphere.
a Ask a qualified person for collecting, adding
and filling operations of the refrigerant (air
conditioner gas: R134a).
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. For details,
see "Removal and installation of air cleaner
assembly".
3. Remove mounting bolts (1) and (2), and remove
hoses (3) and (4). [*2]
a Plug up the hose to prevent dust and water
from entering.
a Be careful not to damage or lose O-ring.
4. Remove mounting bolts (5) (4 pieces), and
remove air conditioner condenser assembly (6).

a Be careful not to damage the core portion of
the air conditioner condenser assembly
when removing.
Installation
(PC88MR-K580-720-K-00-A)
Perform installation in the reverse order to
removal.

Refill refrigerant (air conditioner gas: R134a)
Refill the air conditioner circuit with refrigerant
(air conditioner gas: R134a).
Refill amount: 730 ± 50 g
Refill air conditioner compressor oil

a When installing the hose for the air conditioner
circuit, be careful not to let dirt, dusts and water
going into the hose.
a Check that the O-rings are fitted to the joints
when connecting the air conditioner piping.
a Do not reuse an O-ring because it is deformed
and deteriorated if used once.
a When removing the O-rings, use a soft tool so
that the piping is not damaged.
a Check that the O-ring is not damaged or
deteriorated.
O-ring:
Refrigerant

Mounting bolts (1) and (2):
4 to 7 Nm {0.4 to 0.7 kgm}
