Removal

1. Remove the engine assembly. For details, see
"Removal and installation of engine and main
pump assembly".
2. Remove mounting bolt (1) to remove idler pulley
assembly (2).
3. Remove mounting bolt (3) to remove plate (4)
and crank pulley assembly (5). [*1]
4. Remove front oil seal (6).

a Before installing the front oil seal, check that the
end corner and the lip sliding surface of the
crankshaft are free from a flaw, burr, fin, and
rust.
1. By using tool A2, install front oil seal (6).
2. After press fitting the front oil seal, fill the space
between oil seal lips with approximately 2 cc of
grease.
Front oil seal:
Grease (G2-LI)
Perform subsequent installation in the
reverse order of removal.

Crank pulley mounting bolt:
343 to 402 Nm {35 to 41 kgm}
