The disturbance recorder applies the principle of
extendable recording that switches from the A to B and
C periods, ensuring a high resolution during the
PreTrigger and Trigger periods, and adjusting to a
lower sampling rate during the PostTrigger period in
order to reduce the long term storage requirements.
When a new disturbance occurs in period C, the
recording rate switches back to the one of period A,
ensuring that the data recorded both before and after
the disturbance is done at a high rate of sampling.
If one recording happens after another within a short
interval, they are recorded in one waveform file.
