7. Push the lever on the side of the docking
device all the way toward the back so that the
ejector guides are fully extended.
8. Make sure the Mini-Docking Station is
plugged into AC power.
9. Carefully set your notebook on to the
Mini-Docking Station, right side first,
being careful to get the Telephone Pass
Through Connector aligned with the slide
cover opening, so that the guides gently
push into the docking receptacles in the
bottom of your notebook.(Be careful as
you could damage the Telephone Pass
Through Connector.)
10. Pull the lever forward until your notebook
firmly latched in place.
11. Verify that docking is complete by checking
that the LifeBook Docked LED
illuminated. (See Figure 4-11.)
12. Return your notebook to operation using
the Suspend/Resume button or power
switch,as appropriate. (When setting up for
the first time it must be the power switch.)

Connecting Devices to the
Mini-Docking Station
Connect devices to your Mini-Docking Station
in exactly the same way you would to your
notebook.Figure 4-12 shows the location of
Mini-Docking Station ports and jacks. Remeber
is
that on the Mini-Docking Station there are
separate ports for mouse and keyboard.
To Remove Your Notebook from
the Mini-Docking Station
1. From the Start Menu click on Eject PC.
2. Wait for the Safe to Undock LED
illuminate, even if a message appears on
your screen saying that you may undock.
P O I N T
If the power is turned off at the note-
Through Connector book power switch it is always safe to
undock. You do not have to turn on your
notebook and use the Eject PC feature.
3 . Push the lever on the side of the stati on
b ack w a rd until the Mi n i - Docking Station
connectors are clear of your notebook.
4. Very carefully lift your notebook clear
of the guide pins in the bottom,making
sure not to damage the Telephone Pass
Through Connector.
