PREFACE

The LifeBook
500 Series from Fujitsu
Corporation is a powerful notebook computer.
It is powered by an Intel Pentium
essor with MMX
technology, has a built-in
color display, a CD-ROM drive and brings
the computing power of desktop personal
computers (PCs) to a portable environment.
This manual explains how to operate your
LifeBook 500 Series' hardware and built-in
system software. The LifeBook 500 Series is
compatible with the IBM PC AT
with Windows
95.

A LifeBook 500 Series is a completely self-
contained unit with an active-matrix (TFT)
color LCD display. It has a powerful interface
that enables it to support a variety of optional
features. (Figure P-1.)
