3. Clean the area around the fuel tank cap.
4. Tighten the fuel tank cap fully. If the fuel tank cap is
not tightened, there is a risk of fire.
5. Move the product a minimum of 3 m (10 ft) from the
position where you filled the tank before a start.
Throttle control BG 250Petrol
The throttle control has 3 available positions:
• Stop position (A).
• Start position/choke position (B).
• Operation position (C).

always put the throttle control in stop
position (A) when you stop the product.
To change the position of the wheels
The wheels can have 2 positions in the frame. The top
hole (A) is used when a grinding disc is installed. The
lowest hole (B) is used when bush hammer tools is
installed.

To prevent accidental start,
1. Remove the bolts, the washers and the wheel from
the frame.
2. Install in the opposite sequence in the correct hole in
the frame.
3. Do the same procedure on the opposite side of the
product.
Operation speed
If the product is operated on a new surface type, set
the speed to 70% initially. When the operator knows the
surface type, the speed can be adjusted.
To operate the product with bush
hammer tools
CAUTION:
startup support when the product is not in
operation. The flexible coupling can become
damaged.
The level of vibration increases when the accessories
bush hammer tools or cutters are installed on the
product. The lifetime of wear parts can decrease when
you operate with bush hammer tools or cutters. Do daily
maintenance to keep maximum performance.
1. Install the bush hammer tools. Refer to
remove the bush hammer tools on page 44 .
2. Decrease the operation speed.
a) For BG 250, replace the pulleys. Refer to
replace the pulleys BG 250 on page 49 .
b) For BG 250Petrol, adjust the throttle control.

3. Replace the startup support with the LONG startup
To install the LONG startup support

4. If you do not have the LONG startup support, do 1 of
these steps when you stop the operation.
a) For BG 250, tilt the product rearward until the
handlebar is on the floor.
