DU BBING/EDITING WITH A VCR
You can play back recorded tapes on your cam­
corder for dubbing or editing on a connected VC R .
Editing lets you add special effects, change the
order of scenes, and cut unnecessary scenes to
make your videos more enjoyable.

Plug one end of the supplied AudioNideo
cable into the AUDIO and VI DEO jacks behind
the panel on the side of the camcorder. Plug
the other end into the audio and video input
jacks of the VCR.

Turn the camcorder's POWER switch to VCR.

Load a recorded tape into the camcorder.

Slide the EDIT switch to EDIT.

Insert a video cassette (with its erasure pro­
tection tab intact) into the VCR , press the REC
button, and then press the PAUSE button.
Select the TV channel which will let you monitor
the recording.

Use the camcorder's tape counter and the
PLAY, � R EW, and FF � buttons to locate
the t;>eg inning of the scene that you want to
copy. Press the camcorder's PLAY button and
PAUSE/STILL button to pause the tape at the
beg inning of the scene.

Simultaneously press the PAUSE/STI LL buttons
on the VCR and camcorder to begin dubbing.

To end dubbing, first press the VC R's
PAUSE/STI LL or STOP button, and then the
camcorder's.
EDIT SWITCH
Pictur.e qual ity inevitably declines d uring dubbing
from the camcorder to a VCR. Set the EDIT switch
in the EDIT position to min imize the quality reduc­
tion. U se this while editing videos.

The EDIT switch is normally set to the OUT position
(Set the A/V I N/OUT select switch to OUT. ) except when
dubbing.
