When installing a packet routing (switching) unit into the device, open its levers as
shown in the figure below. If you try to install it with its levers closed or open too
wide, the levers could be damaged when being inserted into the slot.
Levers
When carrying or packing optional units, such as NIFs, BCUs, PRUs, PSUs, memory
modules, memory cards, and power supplies, do not touch the electronic
components or circuitry on the solder side. To avoid damage, always store these
boards and components in approved anti-static bags.
Do not put objects on a packet routing (switching) unit. Doing this might deform the
outer frame of a packet routing (switching) unit Comply with the instructions
written on the label put on a packet routing (switching) unit . (See below.)

Not For Handling
Do not hold the area marked with
removing a Packet Routing Unit (PRU) from a GR4000 model, or a Packet Switching
Unit (PSU) from a GS4000 model. Doing so might deform the outer frame of the PRU
or PSU, and the NIF might be damaged if you try to insert it into a PRU or PSU with
its deformed outer frame.
Do not place the device in direct sunlight or near other heat sources that may cause
damage.
If the device is placed near a radio or TV, they might affect each other in an
unfavorable way. If you hear the burst of noise on a TV or a radio, do the following:

Place the device as far away from a TV or a radio as possible.
Adjust the antenna of a TV or a radio to another direction.
Use a different AC outlet for the TV or radio from that used for the GR4000
or GS4000.
