1 Defective circuit breaker
Open circuit in wiring harness
2 (wire breakage or defective con-
tact of connector)
Ground fault in wiring harness

Procedure, measuring location, criteria and remarks
Directly check circuit breaker CB3 for engine compartment lamp power supply.
(If it is tripped, circuit probably has ground fault.)
1) Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2) Disconnect AR3.
Voltage Between AR3 (female) (A) and ground
1) Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2) Disconnect AB6, AR2, AR3, AR1, AR4, ABER, and ABEL.
Between AB6 (2) and AR3 (female) (A)
Between AR3 (female) (B) and AR2 (female) (B)
Between AR3 (female) (C) and AR2 (female) (C)
Between AR2 (female) (A) and AR1 (female) (1)
Between AR2 (female) (A) and AR4 (female) (1)
Between AR2 (female) (A) and ABER (female)
Resistance

Between AR2 (female) (A) and ABEL (female)

1) Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2) Disconnect AB6, AR2, AR3, AR1, AR4, ABER, and ABEL.
