Step 4: Test the CAN bus wiring in harness connector P20.
Use a multimeter to test the resistance between the following pair of locations:
Location Harness
1 Main
2 Main
Pass The CAN bus wiring tests passed.
1. Leave harness connectors P20 and P21 unplugged from the motor cable connectors.
2. Leave the battery disconnected.
3. Go to Step 5.
Fail The CAN bus wiring test failed.
Note:
If the reading is 108 to 132 ohms, it means that one of the terminators is not connected to
the CAN bus or one of the terminators has failed.
1. Troubleshoot the terminators and the wiring.
2. Repair or replace the worn or damaged parts.

Pass The voltage readings were good. Go to Step 6 and follow the steps listed.
Fail One or more of the voltage readings was not good.
1. Troubleshoot the power and ground wiring in harness connectors P20 and P21.
2. Repair or replace any worn or damaged parts.
