Replacing the 2.5-inch storage drive (for 10G8, 10G9, 10GA, 10GB, 10GC, 10GD,
10GE, and 10GF)
To replace the 2.5-inch storage drive, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 112.
3. If your computer comes with a front Wi-Fi antenna, disconnect the front Wi-Fi antenna cable from the
Wi-Fi card.
4. Remove the screw that secures the storage drive bracket. Slide the storage drive bracket as shown, and
then lift the storage drive bracket to remove it from the computer.

5. Slide the 2.5-inch storage drive as shown, and then lift the 2.5-inch storage drive to remove it from the
storage drive bracket.
