Chapter 3 : Hardware Installation

If the camera is be-
ing mounted to a flat
surface,
2 Install the Camera Mounting Bracket:
a Position the Camera Mounting Bracket in the direction of the flow of traffic.
b Temporarily secure the top loops of the bracket with a Zip-Tie.
3 Secure the Metal Band Straps:
a Loop the Metal Band Straps through the mounting loops to secure the bracket against the
pole.
b Fasten the straps with the Hex Key Tool.
4 Clean up the mounting bracket:
a Remove the temporary Zip-Tie.
b Trim the excess material from the Metal Band Straps.

Re-pairing the Camera
It may be necessary to pair the camera to the Mobile Companion again before attaching the camera to
the mounting bracket.
Procedure:
1 In the mobile application, tap Continue in the Installation screen until the Clean up mount
page appears.
After tapping Continue on this page, the mobile application will attempt to connect to the
camera.
2 Select one of the following options:
If the mobile application prompts to re-pair the camera, go to
If the mobile application does not prompt to re-pair the camera, go to
3 Begin the re-pairing process in the mobile application:
a Tap Pair Camera
b Tap Continue
4 Activate re-pairing mode on the camera.
a Press and hold the Power Button for one second.
b Wait a few moments for the re-pairing mode to activate.

Then...
install the Camera Mounting Bracket with two Lag Bolts:
a Insert a drill bit into the Power Drill chuck.
b Hold the bracket against the surface with the ball socket facing
away from the surface.
c Adjust the bracket to its final mounting location and tap two
mounting holes through the lag bolt holes.
d Equip the Power Drill chuck with a socket bit and Lag Bolt.
e Screw the Lag Bolts through the bracket and into the surface.

Tighten the Lag Bolts securely.
g Go to
Re-Pairing the
Camera.
