Outline

This unit is equipped with the following sensors to check whether paper is present and whether the stapler is operating normally.
Further, it is equipped with switch to detect the open or closed state of the upper cover.

Detection timing
When the Pre-registration Sensor (PS1) does not detect the paper
even when the paper is fed the specified distance by the registration
roller after receiving a paper delivery signal from the buffer pass unit.
When the Post-fold Sensor (PS6) does not detect the paper even
when the paper is fed the specified distance after the Pre-registration
Sensor (PS1) detects the paper.
When the paper does not pass through the Pre-registration Sensor
(PS1) even when the paper is fed the specified distance after the sen-
sor detects the paper.
When the paper does not pass through the Post-fold Sensor (PS6)
even when the paper is fed the specified distance after the sensor
detects the paper.
When it is detected that the Upper Cover has been opened during
operation.
When the Pre-registration Sensor (PS1) detects paper during power-
on.
When the Post-fold Sensor (PS6) detects paper during power-on.
When any of the following errors is detected during feeding operation.
• Registration Motor error (E563)
• Pushing Plate Motor error (E564)
• Fold-enhancing Motor error (E565)
