(10) Temperature of Terminal Plugs
The temperature of the terminal plugs should be below 150℃ to ensure safety in all
operating conditions.
(11) Liquid back to the Compressor
Refrigerants to return to the compressor should be superheated in all operating conditions.
Liquid return to the compressor is prohibited. It may cause the malfunction of the
compressor. Use the accumulator to avoid liquid back. Refer to 1-2.(4) for details.
(12) Supply Voltage When the Compressor is in Operation
The voltage of the power supply at the compressor terminals should be within the following
range:
* The supply voltage should be within plus/minus 10% of the rated voltage.
* The phase imbalance of the 3 phase power supply should be within 3%. The voltage for
phases shall be effective value, and not peak value. The voltage should be measured at
the compressor terminals.
Phase Imbalance: (Vmax - Vave) / Vave x 100 (%)
Note: Vmax: voltage of the phase, which has the maximum deviation from the
Average voltage
Vave: Average voltage of all phases.
(13) ON/OFF Frequency and Time
*The compressor should not be restarted more than 6 times per hour.
*The balanced pressure before restarting should be 0.74 MPaG or lower (refrigerant gas
saturation temperature = 33℃).
*The compressor should be restarted after it reaches the balanced pressure. The stop
duration should be about 3 minutes.
* The compressor should be used in a system where, once restarted, it can be operated
continuously for at least 3 minutes.
(14) Insulation Distance
To secure the insulation distance, carry out wiring work as specified in Clause 3 "Power
Supply Terminal Box Structure Diagram". The insulation distance should conform to
JIS C9335-2-34(2004) or IEC60335-2-34(2012).
(15) Insulation Resistance
Insulation resistance should be measured between the charging part and non-charging metal
part using the 500Ｖ insulation resistance tester at room temperature and normal humidity,
and it should be 10MΩ or higher.
(16) Withstand Voltage
After the insulation resistance test in 1-1.（15） is complete, apply AC voltage in the gradually
ramp method between the charging part and the non-charging metal part (2E + 1000)V,
(E: rated voltage). The compressor shall withstand it for one minute continuously.
However, it should not be implemented under vacuum conditions.
