1-3．Precautions for Electrical Wiring
(1) Earthing Cables
Earthing cables should be connected.
(2) Over Current Relay
The compressor must be protected from over current by using the over current relay. The
compressor must be protected to ensure that it will stop at the maximum allowable current or
less stipulated in Clause 3 "General Specifications" of the specifications including peak current
by the input current waveform.
(3) Electric Leakage Breaker
The power supply circuits must be equipped with the electric leakage breaker (hereinafter
called "ELB") and fuses for power circuits. The high-speed type (operating time 0.1 second)
is recommended for ELB. Install an ELB per compressor.
Refer to Clause 2 "Basic Electrical Wiring Diagram (for 3 phase)" for details.
(4) Discharge Gas Thermostat
The discharge gas thermostat must be installed as illustrated in Figure 1-3. Use the fixing
plate to fix it below the lifting sling of the compressor suction side cap (refrigerant gas suction
inlet side). In this case, lead wires should be led to the down side. This thermostat should
be placed in the protection circuits as shown in Clause 2 "Basic Electrical Wiring Diagram
(for 3 phase)" so that the trip of the thermostat will stop the compressor operation.
