(8) Precautions When Charging Refrigerant Oil
* Because the appropriate amount of refrigerant oil is charged in the compressor before
shipping, no additional amount should be charged, in principle.
*If you have no choice but to charge additional oil, you will need to meet the requirements for
the relationships between refrigerant charged capacity and oil charged capacity prescribed in
1-5.(7). Be sure to charge it from the discharge side of the compressor.
Oil must not be charged from the suction side of the compressor, because it will cause
damage to the compressor.
*The specified refrigerant oil prescribed in these specifications shall be used, and different oil
shall not be mixed with it.
*Refrigerant oil is extremely moisture-absorbent. Accordingly, charge it quickly so as to
control the moisture content when charging it.
(9) Electrical Wiring
*Confirm that the phase of the power line is normal or reverse by using a phase detector, and
connect the power supply cables of R, S and T phases with the U, V and W terminals of the
compressor, respectively.
* Note that the terminal plugs should not be deformed or damaged when the power supply
cables are connected.
*Electrical wires such as power supply cables and lead wires of the thermostat should not
come into contact with the surface of the compressor and pipes.
*The temperature on the surface of the compressor will become high during operations and for
some time after it stops. Use the heat resistant cables (heat resistant product at 150℃) for
power lines to the compressor. Flame-Retardant Polyflex Insulated Wires are
recommended. In addition, electrical wires should be fixed and clamped so as not to come
into contact with the surface of the compressor.
*Refer to Clause 2 "Basic Electrical Wiring Diagram (for 3 phase)" and Clause 3 "Power Supply
Terminal Box Structure Diagram" for details of electrical wires.
(10) Rotation Direction
*The rotation direction of the compressor should be one direction. If the compressor is
operated in reverse, even for a short period of time, it will break down. DO NOT perform
reverse operations.
*A reverse phase protection relay (quick response type) should be installed, or the reverse
phase detection circuits should be installed in the control circuits of the air conditioner to
avoid reverse operations.
*Erroneous wiring will cause reverse operations of the compressor and result in malfunction.
*If the compressor stops temporarily due to power failure, etc., the scroll may rotate in reverse
when the pressure is balanced.
(11) Other
*The commercial power supply should not be turned on when the inside of the compressor is
a vacuum.
*The compressor shall not be used as an air compressor.
*The compressor shall not be used as a vacuum pump.
*The malfunction of electromagnetic valves, refrigerant controllers, or cooling water pumps to
be used for the refrigerant cycle will result in an accident with the compressor. Ensure
reliability. It should also be designed, produced and used to avoid gas leakage.
*If the compressor stops for some reason, do not restart it and use it immediately. Investigate
the reason for the stoppage, and if there are any abnormalities, address their causes before
restarting.
