Receiving Cards
Receiving cards process the data from the Sending card (external NovaStar Controller) and
distribute the signal to the Pixel cards. The Receiving cards work redundantly. In case of failure of
one Receiving card, the other Receiving card provides the picture.

Power Supply

In each module, two redundant Power supply units (PSU) connect through a Power distribution
unit (PDU) to run in parallel, where each deliver half of the required power. This mechanism
provides power and sufficient reserve. In a case of failure of one or the other unit, the functional
PSU can be delivered in full power from the remaining unit. In rare cases, where both PSUs are
defective, the Power supply units of the module have to be replaced.
The following components contribute to the power supply of a module:
2 Power supply units (PSU) (A)
1 Power distribution unit (PDU) (B1) with PDU shielding (B2): The PDU shielding protects the
high voltage components from being touched by accident. Do not remove while power is
connected!
2 Power supply interfaces to Hub board (C): Counter-part to the Hub board's four pin
connectors to supply the Hub board with power.
