B. Remove the screw that secures the E-stop button
to the E-stop switch, and remove the button
(Figure

C. Remove the C-clip and the jam nut from the body
of the E-stop switch
2. Install the E-stop switch as follows:
A. Locate the alignment tang on the body of the
E-stop switch

B. Align the switch from the inside of the control
cover and through the hole in the upper right
corner
(Figure
Note: Ensure that the alignment tang on the
E-stop switch aligns with the notch in the hole
for the switch.
C. Secure the switch to the panel with the jam nut
(Figure
32) that you removed in step 1-C.
D. Install the C-clip
in step
1-C
into the groove in the body of the
E-stop switch.

E. Align the square recess in the back of the E-stop
button to the square fitting of the E-stop switch.
F. Secure the E-stop button to the switch with the

Procedure
1. Align the holes of the controls cover with the holes in
the operator pedestal of the backhoe
2. Add medium-grade (service removable) thread-locking
compound to the 4 bolts that you removed in step

3. Secure the cover to the pedestal with the 4 bolts and 4
washers

4. Rotate the battery disconnect to the On position; refer
to the traction unit Operator's Manual.
5. Install the left- and right-side panels and the nose
panel; refer to the traction unit Operator's Manual.
