Bleeding the Hydraulic System

No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
Co-workers and bystanders near the moving
attachment parts come into contact with an
attachment part, causing serious injury or death.
Be aware of where other workers are in the area
while you are bleeding the hydraulic system, and
keep others away from the area.
1. If the swing lock for the backhoe boom is set, release
the lock by pushing the swing-lock pedal down,
pushing the pedal forward, and allowing the pedal to
rise up into the forward notch.

2. If the boom lock for the backhoe boom is set, release
the lock by pulling the boom-latch handle rearward.

3. Carefully lower the lifting equipment and remove it
from the backhoe.
4. Set the parking brake and ensure that all the controls
are in the Neutral position (the neutral indicator lamp
is illuminated).
5. Start the machine, and set the engine speed is set to
1/4 throttle.
6. Move to the operator seat of the backhoe.
7. Move each stabilizer control up and down several
times to move the stabilizers through its full range of
movement
