4. Insert the 2 bolts (3/4 x 2-3/4 inch) through the 2
washers, the walkway-support bracket, the mounting
plate, and the backhoe frame; install 2 locknuts (3/4
inch) on the bolts; and tighten the locknuts by hand
(Figure 11).
5. Align the hole in the hydraulic-tube bracket with hole
at the back side of the right mounting plate

through the hydraulic-tube support bracket, the
mounting plate, and the backhoe frame; install a
locknut on the bolt; and tighten the locknut by hand

7. Install the 7 horizontal bolts (3/4 x 2 inch), the 7
washers, and the 7 locknuts in the remaining holes at
the back side of the right and left mounting plates, and
tighten these fasteners by hand

8. Insert the 4 vertical bolts (3/4 x 2-1/2 inch) through
the holes in the lower pivot plate (inside the pockets for
the stabilizer mounting points), and secure them with 4
washers and 4 locknuts as shown in
9. Torque the 4 bolts (1-1/4 x 3-1/4 inch) that secure the
mounting plates to the machine to 915 to 1 119 N-m
(675 to 825 ft-lb).
10. Torque the 10 horizontal bolts (3/4 inch diameter) that
secure the backhoe to the machine to 525 to 655 N-m
(387 to 483 ft-lb).
11. Torque the 4 vertical bolts (3/4 x 2-1/2 inch) that
secure the backhoe to the machine to 525 to 655 N-m
(387 to 483 ft-lb).
