Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the remote or
front panel to open the disc tray
Insert the disc and be careful not to touch the
playing surface. Hold the disc by the sides and
with your fore finger through the hole in the
middle and place it gently onto the tray.
Close the disc tray by pressing OPEN/CLOSE
on the remote or front panel.
PLAY - To begin playback of a disc, PLAY
press
(Remote Control ) or PLAY ( I' )(Front Panel ).
STOP - To stop playback of a disc, press STOP.
When STOP is pressed for the first time, the
recorder memorises the location where playback
is stopped. You can begin playback where you
left off by pressing PLAY. If STOP is pressed
twice, the playback location is reset to the
beginning of the disc.
PAUSE To freeze the video frame
on a
single
or pause music, press the PAUSE (Remote
Control ) key during playback. To resume
normal playback, press PLAY (),) (Front Panel)
or PLAY (Remote Control).
Notes
• Some Video CD are recorded with PBC (Playback
control), a menu with recorded contents may
appear on the TV if you have turned the PBC on.
You can make your selection according to its PBC
menu. Press the MENU button on the remote
control to turn PBC on or off anytime during Video
CD playback. When switching from PBC off to PBC
on mode, playback will start from the beginning of
the disc.
• Depending on disc condition, pressing the PLAY
button may take about 10 seconds or longer to start
playback.
Skipping to the Next/Previous
Yon can advance or skip back through the chapters
or tracks on DVD discs, VCDs,Audio CDs and other
discs with the )')'1(SKIP FWD) and I_ (SKIP REV)
buttons on the remote control.
SKIP NEXT Press i_)'lon the remote control to
advance to the next chapter/track.
SKIP PREVIOUS - Press H_ once on the remote
control to skip back to the beginning of the current
chapter or track. Press H_ twice in quick
successions to skip back to the previous chapter
/track.
This unit supports slow motion playback in the
forward direction at three speeds.
During playback, press the SLOW key repeatedly
to select a slow motion speed.
Press PLAY ()) (Front Panel) or PLAY (Remote
Control) to resume playback.
You can freeze playback on a single frame and then
step forward one frame at a time.
Press the PAUSE key to freeze playback.
Press the PAUSE key to advance one frame.
Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
You can scan through DVDs, VCDs and other discs
in forward or reverse direction. Fast forward/reverse
scanning will only work during disc playback.

remote control repeatedly to cycle through all the
four speeds in the desired direction.
Press PLAY ()) (Front Panel) or PLAY (Remote
Control) to resume playback.
Notes
• During fast forward playback at "F)" speed, sound
is reproduced if the playing disc is recorded in
DVD-Video mode.
