The T.SEARCH function provides a convenient way
to navigate DVD and Video CD by allowing you to
select the Title, Chapter/Track or Time to jump to.
During playback,press the T.SEARCH key to
bring the T.Search Menu.

Use the 4 / l_ keys to choose Title or Chapter/
Track. Use the A/v or the NUMBER keys to
select a Title or Chapter/Track to jump to. Press
the ENTER key to confirm.

To jump to a time on the disc, press !' to select
the Time field. Use the A/v or NUMBER keys to
enter the time. Use the 4 / !, keys to move
between to each desired time fields, then press
ENTER to confirm your selection.

To repeat a segment of a disc, use the PLAY MODE
key. On DVDs, you can repeat an entire Disc (All),
Title or Chapter. On VCDs, Track and All repeat is
supported.
Press PLAY MODE during disc playback to set
the Repeat Mode.
To return to normal playback, PLAY MODE
press
until the Repeat OFF icon appears on-screen
signifying that repeat play is cancelled.
Note
• In case of Video CD with PBC, you cannot set
Repeat function during playback.

The A-B REPEAT key lets you to define your own
segment to repeat.
During playback, when you reach the start of the
segment you want to repeat, press the A-B
REPEAT
button. An icon, Repeat A, is
displayed on-screen, letting you know that the
segment start point has been saved.
When you reach the end of the segment you
want to repeat, press the A-B REPEAT button
again. The Repeat A-B icon is now displayed
on-screen. The segment will now begin to repeat.
To cancel repeat and resume normal playback,
press A-B REPEAT again. The repeat icon on-
screen changes to Repeat OFF.

While recording a TV program on a DVD-RAM
disc, press TIMESLIP. The recorder displays a
TV program as it is being recorded.
Go back to the beginning of the TV program,
press SKIP REV. When you go back to the
beginning, playback starts automatically.
You can check how far you are from the current
broadcast by pressing DISPLAY button to view
the Display Menu.

Press FWD or REV button.
Slow-motion:
Press SLOW button.
• To resume normal playback, press the PLAY
button.
Press TIMESLIP to exit from Chase Play.
Notes
• TIMESLIP function is not available when recording
a DVD-RW/R disc and a DVD-RAM in XP mode.
• TIMESLIP function does not work until 30 seconds
of recording have elapsed.
About the Screen Saver
When the recorder is left in DVD stop mode for a
period of about 5 minutes, the Screen Saver will
load to protect the television from "screen burn",
which could occur if an unusual bright image is
displayed on-screen for an extended period of
time.
