CONNECTIONS
Refer to Figs. 10 and 11 for the connections.
When using the ONE-TOUCH SYSTEM
Connect the control signal cord as shown in Fig. 10 when combining the unit with the HA-M70 amplifier which is
compatible with the ONE-TOUCH
SYSTEM.
This cord is accessory to the amplifier.
When using the remote control functions
Connect the amplifier and the remote control center (RM-1000), as shown in Fig. 11, with the turntable using the turn-
table remote control cord and the connecting cords. These cords are accessory to the remote control center.
For details, refer to the Instruction Manual of the RM-1000 remote control center.
NOTE:
Make sure that the turntable's ground wire is kept connected to the ground (GND) terminal on the rear panel of the
amplifier. Unless this connection is intact, it may not be possible to perform the remote control operations properly.
ADJUSTMENTS
BEFORE
USE
Perform the tracking force and anti-skating adjustments
before operating your turntable.
TRACKING
FORCE ADJUSTMENT
(See Figs. 2, 3)
The tracking force adjustment should be done before
playing. The tracking force must be adjusted to the
recommended value as shown on the instruction sheet
of the cartridge.
1. Detach the tonearm from the arm rest, and set the
ANTI-SKATE
knob
'0' to the anti-skating
index
mark. (See Fig. 2)
2. Rotate the balance weight knob until the tonearm is
balanced evenly. (See Fig. 3)
(a) Tonearm
is not balanced
properly.
Balance
weight end is too heavy.
Tonearm is perfectly balanced.
(C) Tonearm is not balanced properly. Cartridge
end is too heavy (comes in contact with arm
guide).
3. Rotate the scale ring so that its '0' is aligned with the
tracking force index line.
4. Rotate the balance weight knob in the direction of
the arrow in the figure and adjust to the recommend-
ed value of the cartridge's tracking force.

ANTI-SKATING ADJUSTMENT
Match the ANTI-SKATE knob to the anti-skating index
mark in accordance with the tracking force of the car-
tridge used.

STYLUS DESCENT POSITION CHECK
The stylus descent position is properly adjusted at the
manufacturing
plant before the unit is shipped.
If for
some reason this position shifts, adjust it following the
method on page 5.
