(A) How to receive an FM, AM
broadcast

(a) Set
the
POWER/STAND-BY
"0"
switch (to the ON/"'|" (2) position.
(b) Set the function to FM using the ''FM''
FUNCTION key ().
(c) Tune in the station by any of the follow-
ing positions:
(1) Set the FM TUNING
switch @) to
the released position (01).
Depress the TUNING key@). In this
case

automatic
sweep
up or automatic
sweep down mode.
Set the FM TUNING switch @Q) to
the depressed position (3).
In this case these switches function
in the manual tuning mode. The op-
timum tuning point is shown when
the signal strength meter @) pointer
deflects
to its maximum
and the
broadcast
is
heard.
The
FM
STEREO indicator (3 comes on with
a stereo broadcast.

NOTE:
1. When the FM TUNING switch@)is set to the
released position (C1), it may not be possible
to automatically tune in weak signal sta-
tions. In cases like this, set the FM TUNING
switch(@) to the depressed position (1), and
tune the station manually.
. If one of the tuning keys has been used to
tune in an FM station and the sound is ac-
companied
by
interference,
depress
the
MEMORY
write key ©) and operate the
system. As a result, it will be possi-
ble to reduce the interference.
