are
memorized and the memory write key indicator
goes off.
CAUTION: The field condition computer systems
[Fecs| works only for FM reception.
The
memory
write
mode
is held while
the
memory write key indicator is lighted. Once this
indicator goes off, the memory write mode is
cleared and it no longer becomes possible to
memorize the stations. The memorizing mode
can
be
re-established
by
depressing
the
memory
write key again since this operation
restores the memory write mode.
CAUTION: This unit incorporates a random ac-
cess presetting system which means that it is
not possible to memorize both FM and AM sta-
tidns into the same preset key. Memorize them
separately instead.
EXAMPLE:
It is not possible to memorize sta-
tions broadcasting on FM 98.1 MHz and AM
1432 kHz frequencies into the same preset key.
Memorize these stations into separate keys.
e Last channel memory
This set has a last channel memory
be-
sides the 10 preset memories.
*When
POWER/STAND-BY

set to OFF (STAND-BY), the last station
is
memorized,

station is displayed. When
the "AM" or FM' FUNCTION key @®)is
selected,
the
FM
or
AM
station
is
memorized and the last AM or FM sta-
tion to be received is displayed.
e Unattended recording
lf you use this tuner for unattended recor-
L.
ding, set the tuner to the desired station
and the POWER/STAND-BY "W"' switch |
@ to the ON/" | " (2) position. For unat-
tended recording, connect the tuner plug
to the timer (or to an auxiliary power
outlet of an amplifier connected
to the
timer).
Since
the
reception
frequencies
have
been memorized by the microcomputer,
supported by the batteries, the contents
of the memory
cannot
be erased,
even
after the power
plug has been discon-
nected from the power outlet. This means
that the desired broadcasting station will
be received when the power plug is con-
nected again. (When the timer goes from
OFF to ON.)
