DATA STORAGE DEVICES

The Docking Station 6000 has two bays for installing optional data storage
devices.

only two diskette drives. Therefore, if you have more than two disk-
ette drives installed in the NEC Versa and docking station, you can
only access two of them.
Some storage devices require that you provide a signal cable. For
example, to install a SCSI device, you need to purchase an optional
SCSI signal cable.
4-12 Adding Options
Hold the board by its edges and pull the board. You may need to rock the
board side-to-side to dislodge it from its connector.
Replace the docking station cover as described earlier in this chapter un-
der "Cover Replacement."
A front bay provides external access to storage devices installed in it.
This bay accepts two standard 5 1/4-inch storage devices, including disk-
ette, hard disk, tape, and CD-ROM drives.
An internal bay provides space for one 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive.
