VERSABAY II ADAPTER INSTALLATION

Installing the VersaBay II Adapter in the Docking Station 6000 involves the
following procedures:

These procedures are described in the sections that follow.

Removing the Drive Cage

Remove the docking station drive cage as follows.
1.
If you have nothing else to install, replace the docking station cover as
described in "Cover Replacement."
Proceed as follows:

If you have a Plug and Play system, simply dock the NEC Versa and
reboot your system. The NEC Versa automatically detects the new
drive.

If you do not have a Plug and Play system, run Setup to set your new
configuration.
Removing the docking station cover. (See "Cover Removal" earlier in
this chapter.)
Removing the drive cage.
Connecting the adapter to the drive cage.
Attaching the cables.
Finishing up, which involves removing the slot cover and replacing the
docking station cover.
Locate and remove the two screws on the drive cage.
