At the scanner
Check the following components:
l
- CIS units and their harnesses
- Relay PCB
- Main PCB
At the printer
Check the following components:
l
- Thermal recording head
- Recording head signal harness
- Main PCB
1) First check that RedLine Therma PLUS paper is set.
2) Check that the R & B copying function is activated in
EEPROM customization (Function code 32 in Subsection
4.3.7).
3) Make a monochrome copy. If it has no problem, the
scanner may be defective.
At the scanner
Check the following components:
l
- CIS units
- Main PCB
At the printer
Check the following components:
l
- Thermal recording head and its compression springs
- Recording head power harness
- Main PCB
At the scanner
Set the scanning compensation parameters in the EEPROM.
l
(Function code 55 in Subsection 4.3.1.)
Clean the copyboard screen around the two black HP marks.
l
Check the CIS unit(s).
l
At the printer
Clean the thermal recording head with alcohol.
l
Check the thermal recording head.
l
