[ 5 ] PC interface related

If the connected PC cannot receive scanned image from the machine, first make a copy to check
whether the scanner of the machine works normally.
If the copy is normal, the problem may be due to the PC interface. Proceed to the following
checks:
Trouble
(1) No communication with the
PC (The PC cannot
recognize the machine.)
At the scanner
Check that the CIS units have been replaced with new ones
l
as a set of three units. Even if any one of the three CIS
units is defective, replace the three-unit set with a new set.
Check that the three CIS harnesses are joined to the correct
l
connectors on the relay PCB.
At the machine
Check the following components:
l
- PC interface cable for connection or breakage
- Main PCB
At the PC
Check that the PC interface cable designed for this machine
l
is plugged in the correct connector of the PC.
Check that the copyboard driver program is correctly
l
installed to the PC.
Check that the serial port of the PC is enabled and
l
recognized by the OS.
Check that the transmission speed and protocols are set
l
properly.
