Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected with-
out calling in a Miele service technician, thus saving you both time and money.
You should, however, note the following:
Repairs should only be carried out by a suitably qualified and trained person in
accordance with local and national safety regulations. Unauthorised or incor-
rect repairs could cause personal injury or damage the machine.
Problem
The dishwasher does
not start
The dishwasher stops
running shortly after
starting a programme
The dishwasher stops
during a programme

Possible cause
The door is not properly
closed.
The machine is not
plugged in.
The fuse is defective or
has tripped.
The dishwasher is not
switched on.
A programme has not
been selected.
The stopcock is shut off.
The "Inlet/Outlet"
indicator light in the top
of the opened door
flashes .
The fuse has tripped.
Remedy
Close the door firmly.
Insert the plug.
Replace the fuse
(U.K. fuse rating = 13 A).
Press the "On" touch
pad. Select a programme.
Press the touch pad for
the programme you wish
to run.
Switch the dishwasher
off. Open the stopcock.
Start the programme
again.
Replace the fuse
( U.K. fuse rating 13 A).
