(b) Registering the program as an exception.
To register the program as an exception for Windows Firewall, follow the procedure
below. After this procedure, network connections from the program registered as an
exception are not blocked anymore.
1. If you are not logged on to the computer as an administrator, log on to the computer as
an administrator.
2. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
3. The Control Panel window is displayed. Click System and Security.
4. The System and Security window is displayed.
・Click Windows Firewall.
5. The Windows Firewall window is displayed.
・Click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall.
6. The Allowed Programs window is displayed.
・Click Allow another program.
Note: If the Allow another program button is disabled, click Change settings. That
will enable the Allow another program button.
