Fault 7: There is no output from the console when connected to the serial port.
Description:
There is no information displayed in the serial port console after the Switch has been powered on.
Troubleshooting:
Check if the serial port cables have been connected properly and if the console and the Switch have the same
type of serial port. Check that the configuration of the serial port is identical to the configuration described in the
DGS-6600 Configuration Guide R3. If the configuration of the serial port does not match the settings specified in
the DGS-6600 Configuration Guide R3, modify the serial port parameters so that it matches. If this does not solve
the problem, please contact the D-Link Customer Service Department for technical support.
Fault 8: Illegible characters appear in the serial port console.

Illegible characters appear in the serial port console.
Troubleshooting:
These kinds of problems usually relate to the serial port's settings. Check that the serial port's settings, such as
the baud rate, are identical to the settings described in the DGS-6600 Configuration Guide.
