Each keyset has Programmable Function Keys. Programmable Function Keys simplify placing
calls, answering calls and using certain features. You can customize the function of a keyset's pro-
grammable keys from your administration telephone, or the extension user can do it themselves.
Depending on your telephone style, you can have either 12 or 24 Programmable Function Keys.
An extension can use Pulse to Tone Conversion on trunk calls. Pulse to Tone Conversion lets a user
change their extension's dialing mode while placing a call. For systems in a Dial Pulse area, this
permits users to access dial-up OCCs (such as MCI) from their DP area. The user can, for example:
Place a call to an OCC over a DP trunk.
Depending on programming:
Manually implement Pulse to Tone Conversion
OR
Wait 10 seconds.
Dial the OCC security code and desired number. The system dials the digits after the conver-
sion as DTMF.
