Troubleshooting
Messages displayed on your computer
Error message
A document is jammed in the ADF.
Do not open the ADF cover when
scanning.
No document in ADF.
Cannot find the scanner.
Document misfeeds.
Multifeed is detected.
Unknown error.
Cause
A document is jammed.
Your scanner's top cover is open
when scanning starts.
No document is set in the ADF.
Your scanner is not connected to
your computer.
The document is not feeding
correctly.
Documents are multifed.

Action
Open the top cover and remove the
document by pulling it backwards,
then close the top cover.
Close the top cover and start
scanning again.
Set your document in the ADF and
start scanning again.
Confirm that the USB cable
connecting the scanner to the
computer is properly connected.
By automatic power off function, the
machine's power might be turned off
automatically. Press Power button to
turn the scanner ON.
Remove the document, align the
pages, and set it carefully in the ADF,
then start scanning again.
Remove the remaining document
from the ADF, set it carefully in the
ADF, then start scanning again.
