To use your DSS Console Headset key:

Press the Headset key to enable or disable the Headset mode.
To use your DSS Console Hotline key:
1.
Press key to call Hotline partner.
To use your DSS Console ICM Directory key:

Press key to access Intercom Directory Dialing.
To use your DSS Console Message Center key:

Press key to see how many messages are waiting in the Message Center.
Press SPK (or lift the handset) + key to call Message Center mailbox.
To use your DSS Console Night key:

Door Box (DS1000)

Use an analog Door Box in DS1000 to remotely monitor an entrance door.
The analog Door Box (P/N 92245) is a self-contained Intercom unit typically used to monitor an entrance
door. A visitor at the door can press the Door Box call button (like a door bell). The Door Box then sends
chime tones to all extensions programmed to receive chimes. To answer the chime, the called extension user
just lifts the handset. This lets the extension user talk to the visitor at the Door Box. The Door Box is conve-
nient to have at a delivery entrance, for example. It is not necessary to have company personnel monitor the
delivery entrance; they just answer the Door Box chimes instead.
The analog Door Box in DS1000 connects to a dedicated Door Box port (DOOR1 or DOOR2) and can be
mounted outside. Refer to the Section 4, Optional Equipment in the Hardware Manual on your System Doc-

Turn to the Split feature in the Software Manual on your System Document CD.
You must have Voice Mail installed to use this key. A voice prompt and a periodic beep will
remind you that your calls are being recorded.
