Decoding Autoexposure

Parameter # F0h 29h
Select Enable Decoding Autoexposure to allow the imager engine to control gain settings and exposure
(integration) time to best capture an image for decode mode.
Select Disable Decoding Autoexposure to manually adjust the gain and exposure time (see
Exposure
Time). Motorola recommends this option only for advanced users with difficult decoding situations.

Decoding Illumination

Parameter # F0h 2Ah
Selecting Enable Decoding Illumination causes the decoder to turn on illumination every image capture to
aid decoding. Select Disable Decoding Illumination to prevent the decoder from using decoding illumination.
Enabling illumination usually results in superior images. The effectiveness of illumination decreases as the
distance to the target increases.
NOTE Changing this parameter while using Presentation Mode, with or without Motion Enhancement, is not
recommended.
