Using scales

General about using scales

You have to use scaling if a measurement value provided by the device is not as such
suitable for the applications, and you need to change the provided value to another.
With a scale you can convert one value to another by using a scaling algorithm. OPC
servers support two types of scales: Stepwise Linear and Look-up Table. The Stepwise
Linear scale multiplies the value to be converted with a scale factor and adds an offset
value to the result, and the Look-up Table scale uses a look-up table to find the required
value.

Specifies the code page that is
used to convert strings (event)
to be printed into bytes that are
sent to the printer.
Specifies whether the event
printer functionality is in use.
The name of the printer used
by the COM600 operating sys-
tem. The name is specified,
when the printer is configured
in the COM600 computer.
Specifies the maximum number
of events in the print queue that
are waiting to print.
Specifies the maximum number
of characters printed to one
line.
The configured string is split by
a space and each individual
number (0 - 127) is converted
to the corresponding ASCII
character.
Specifies how the line overflow
is handled. If the value is True,
the extra characters are left
out. Otherwise, the extra char-
acters are printed on the next
line.
