Input Cable Fuses
The drive is equipped for branch circuit protection per NEC with standard T/L fuses
listed below. The fuses restrict drive damage and prevent damage to adjoining
equipment in case of a short-circuit inside the drive. Check that the operating time
of the fuse is below 0.5 seconds. The operating time depends on the fuse type 
(T/L), supply network impedance and the cross-sectional area, material and length
of the supply cable. The fuses must be of the "non-time delay" type. See also
"Planning the Electrical Installation: Thermal Overload and Short-Circuit
Protection."
Note 1: In multi-cable installations, install only one fuse per phase (not one fuse per
conductor).
Note 2: Larger fuses must not be used.
Note 3: Fuses from other manufacturers can be used if they meet the ratings and
specifications.
Note 4: Circuit breakers must not be used without fuses.
