The appliance can process print jobs up to a maximum size of 2GB.
Up to 10,000 jobs can be spooled at a time, which might be further
restricted by the disk space available on the appliance.
If you have not done so,
initialize the driver
for that printer.
Delays connecting to a printer via Network Neighborhood or displaying
the Property page in Network Neighborhood are often caused by an
incorrectly configured DNS entry for the appliance. If DNS is
misconfigured, it can take 1-2 minutes for the appliance to respond to a
request.
The appliance requires entries in both the DNS server's forward and
reverse lookup tables. You can verify the appliance's DNS
configuration from a Windows NT or Windows 2K system command
prompt by running the following commands:
nslookup <applianceName.appliance-DNSdomain>
nslookup <appliance-IP-Address>
The first command verifies there is a DNS entry for the appliance's
name and the second verifies that there is a DNS entry for the
appliance's IP address. If you get a negative response from either of
these commands, you need to correct your DNS configuration. If you
do not receive a negative response, please
The appliance uses LPD to send print jobs to its printers. If the print
server connecting a printer to the network does not support LPD, jobs
for that printer will get stuck on the appliance. You may need to
upgrade the firmware of the offending print server or it may need to be
replaced with a print server that supports LPD.
