About the Storage Page and Options

The Storage page displays the following types of current system information:

The DR4000 system polls for statistics every 30 seconds.
• Storage Summary pane:
– Number of containers
– Number of containers replicated
– Number of files across containers
– Compression level in use
• Capacity pane:
– Lists used and free capacity of system in percentage and GBs
• Storage Savings:
– Total (deduplication and compression) savings by percentage based on
time/minutes
• Throughput:
– Read and write rates in megabytes per second (MB/s) based on
time/minutes

Understanding the Storage Options

The DR4000 system provides a mechanism for storing backed up and
deduplicated data, ingested by the system, into easily accessible storage
containers. The DR4000 system GUI simplifies the process for storing this
type of data by using its system storage processes.
