Step 1.
Align the mounting stud on the system board with the corresponding hole in the rear hot-swap
drive assembly. Meanwhile, align the rear of the rear hot-swap drive assembly with the
corresponding rail guides in the rear of the chassis. Then, carefully press the rear hot-swap drive
assembly straight down into the chassis until it is fully seated.

Step 2.
Connect the signal cable to the rear hot-swap drive assembly. See "Internal cable routing" on page
27.
After installing the rear hot-swap drive assembly:
1. Reinstall the drives or drive fillers into the rear hot-swap drive assembly. See "Install a hot-swap drive"
on page 122.
2. Complete the parts replacement. See "Completing the parts replacement" on page 203.

LOM adapter replacement

Use this information to remove and install the LOM adapter.

Use this information to remove the LOM adapter.
Before removing the LOM adapter, remove the top cover. See "Remove the top cover" on page 103.
To remove the LOM adapter, complete the following steps:
