Waste Ink Bottle status
Displays the approximate amount of space availa-
ble in the Waste Ink Bottle. The display changes as
shown below when the waste ink bottle is nearly
full or an error occurs.

1 Status indicators
The status of the Waste Ink Bottle is shown as
follows.
: No error. The indicator changes to
show the amount of space available.
: The Waste Ink Bottle is almost full.
Ready a new Waste Ink Bottle.
: The Waste Ink Bottle is full. Replace
with a new Waste Ink Bottle.

Status of the head cleaning set
The guideline for replacement of the head cleaning
set is displayed.
: As the time for replacement gets closer,
the indicator gradually decreases.

Notice regarding when to do periodic/auto
cleaning

Notices for when periodic cleaning or auto clean-
ing* are to occur are displayed as shown below.
The times these are done change greatly depending
on the ambient temperature of the print heads. In
addition, auto cleaning may be done regardless of
the notice display when the power is turned back on.

: This appears 24 hours prior to
when auto cleaning and periodic
cleaning are to be done (when the
interval is set in Printing Time).
*** m
: This appears 20 minutes prior to
when periodic cleaning is to be
done (when the interval is set in
Media Usage).
If you want to print, even though it is almost time
for head cleaning to be done, implementing Preven-
tive Cleaning in the settings menu in advanced is
effective at keeping printing from being interrup-
ted midway.

* Auto cleaning is head cleaning that the printer
automatically does after a set period of time has passed to
keep the print heads in good condition.
