Media Setting Item
The optimal media setting values are set if you either do Easy Media Setup or register the media settings on the
printer using the supplied Epson Control Dashboard. Normally, use this as it is. When using specific media or
when a problem such as head striking or banding is detected in printing results, change the default.
The default settings for each of the following items differ depending on the content set in Media Type. See the
following for details on the default settings for each media type.

Parameter Explanation
When the Z button is pressed, the value for print length returns to 0.
Off Select either Off (do not automatically reset the value for print length)
or Per Job (reset when starting to print the next job).

Per Job
When Off is selected, the value does not reset until you do Manual
Reset. However, once the value reaches 9999, it automatically resets
and returns to 0.
When Per Job is selected, the value returns to 0 when printing starts for
the next job so you can check the print length per job. You can also
check how far along the print job is while printing.
To change the currently selected setting, select Current Settings.
When changing specific media settings, select the setting number for
the target media.

Choose the media settings used for printing.
To register new settings, either do Easy Media Setup or register the
media settings on the printer using the supplied Epson Control
Dashboard.

Parameter Explanation
Assign the media setting bank a name up to 22 half-size characters
long. Using distinctive names makes it easier to select banks for use.
