Fuses

Checking and replacing the DC fuses (limited scope version)

WARNING! Only qualified electricians are allowed to this work. Read the
complete safety instructions of the drive. Ignoring the instructions can cause
physical injury or death, or damage to the equipment.
1. Disconnect the drive from the AC power line and make sure it is safe to start the work.

2. Open the IGBT supply module cubicle door.
3. Undo the screws of the shroud in the upper part of the cubicle. Remove the shroud.
4. Disconnect all conductors wired to the components which are attached to the
assembly plate in front of the fuses (such as wiring to the charging contactor [Q4]).
Write down the correct connections before disconnecting.
5. Undo the fastening screws of the assembly plate and pull it out.
6. Check the condition of the fuses. In case of a blown fuse, replace all fuses with similar
fuses: slacken the nuts of the fuses and pull the fuses out. Do not unscrew the nuts
completely, not to drop them inside the module below. Tighten the nuts by hand or
applying maximum 5 N·m force. Tightening torques for nuts are:

7. Install the assembly plate back on place. Connect all conductors wired to the
components which are attached to the assembly plate. Attach the shrouds in reverse
order and close the door.
