Commissioning procedure

Requirements
The following requirements must be met:
● CPU that is in the "Factory settings" state or has been reset to Factory settings
● SIMATIC memory card that is in the delivered condition and formatted
Commissioning procedure
For the first commissioning of an S7-1500 automation system, we recommend the following
procedure:
Action
Configure hardware in STEP 7 and
perform power balance calculation (see
also "Special considerations: CPU as bus
device")
Create user program
Insertion of all required modules
Wiring of the assembly (power supply
modules, front connectors, ...)
Insertion of the SIMATIC memory card
into the CPU
First power-on
LED check
Evaluate information on the CPU's display See the section, Display of the CPU (Page 141)
Configure hardware in STEP 7 and
upload to the CPU
Test the inputs and outputs
