Wash Buffer
The Wash Buffer Concentrate is used for preparing the Wash Buffer. When correctly diluted, the Wash Buffer contains 0.01M phosphate
buffered saline with 0.1% Tween™ 20 and 0.001% sodium azide as a preservative.
WARNING:Sodium azide may react with lead and copper plumbing to form potentially explosive metal azides. On disposal,
flush the buffer with a large volume of water to prevent azide buildup. Refer to "Toxic Substances" on page 1-3
for handling, storage, and disposal instructions.
1. Allow Wash Buffer Concentrate to come to room temperature.
2. Check to see that any crystals that may have formed during refrigeration have dissolved. If crystals persist, place the tightly closed
buffer bottle into a beaker of warm water until all crystals are dissolved.
3. Remove Wash Buffer bottle from AP3600 Instrument and rinse the bottle with distilled water.
4. Gently invert the Wash Buffer Concentrate bottle several times to thoroughly mix contents.
Note: Take care not to create bubbles when mixing the contents.
5. Add the contents of the Wash Buffer Concentrate bottle (50 ml) and DI water (950 ml) to a 4L Wash Buffer bottle and mix thoroughly.
6. The Wash Buffer is ready for use.
Note: Once prepared, the Wash Buffer solution can be used for up to one month when stored at room temperature (20-25°C) or
refrigerated (2-8°C).
Reagents
1. Allow all reagent bottles (Sample Diluent, Antibody, and Photoreagents) to come to room temperature.
2. Gently swirl the bottles to mix contents.
3. The reagent is ready for use.
Note: Reagents can be used until the expiration date, if kept refrigerated (2-8°C) while not in use.
