AP3600 system.

Cleaning and Decontamination

Perform the following steps to clean and decontaminate the AP3600 system.
1. Prepare a 10% bleach solution by using 100 ml of household bleach and adding 900 ml of DI water. This solution must be made and
used within 12 hours of decontamination.
2. Aliquot 25 ml of the 10% bleach solution into the specified or supplied diluent and antibody reagent containers. The Photoreagent
containers should remain filled with DI water. Attach antibody (with 10% bleach solution) and both Photoreagents
(with DI water) to the instrument.
3. Replace the main DI water container with the 10% bleach solution (separate container). Place the wash buffer line into the main
DI water container.
4. Perform one (1) rinse cycle (see Figure D-1). Allow the solution to stay in the lines for ten (10) minutes.

5. Disconnect all reagent and DI water lines from bleach solution/DI water and perform one drain cycle to expel liquid from lines.
6. Place all reagent lines into bottles containing 50 ml of DI water. Place DI water & wash buffer line into DI water bottle containing 4 L of
DI water. Replace Waste Container with sampling container #1.
7. Perform one rinse cycle.
8. Sample waste from sampling container #1. Perform strip testing to determine total chlorine content.
9. If the strip test indicates zero (0) ppm, proceed to step 11. Otherwise, continue to step 10.
